Instagram DM lead records and follow-up

Review the information your Instagram lead questionnaires collected. Search the answers, filter by connected account and export records for your own follow-up process—without assuming a WhatsApp-style deals or team inbox.

Illustrative configured reply

  1. Customer: Please send the information for this offer.
  2. Configured response: Here is the approved information or link supplied for this request.
  3. Owner review: Check delivery and review exceptions personally.

Illustrative wording, not customer results. Supported triggers, plan access and message eligibility apply.

What does Instagram DM CRM mean here?

This page explains the existing lead-record and conversation-review workflow, not a full shared Instagram CRM. A completed questionnaire can provide useful follow-up information; not every DM becomes a complete contact profile.

No automatic contact tagging, pipeline, task ownership, team assignment or cross-channel contact merge is promised. WhatsApp CRM is a separate product with its own permissions and workspace.

Review a collected Instagram inquiry

  1. Open Collected Leads: Use the Instagram workspace and inspect the status and captured fields.
  2. Search and filter: Search the supplied answer text and choose the connected account you want to review.
  3. Export and decide next steps: Export available records to CSV when needed. Confirm consent and message-window eligibility before contacting the person.

Why teams choose Repli

What you get

Captured answers

Review fields provided through the configured lead flow; check for incomplete records before using them.

Search

Search recorded usernames, connected-account names and captured answers.

Account filter

Use the connected-account selector to review the source of the saved lead.

CSV export

Export the available fields for your own authorized process. An export is not an automatic CRM or email sync.

Use cases

Review open inquiries

Read completed answers and decide which request needs a personal response.

Prepare a handoff outside Repli

Export captured data to your approved process; confirm permission and do not assume a shared Instagram agent queue.

Organize the information you actually collected

A saved lead can include the person’s provided email, phone and answers. In-progress records may be incomplete. Review status and fields instead of treating all commenters as a complete prospect database.

The existing search and account filter help you review records; they do not establish automatic tags, campaign segments, sales stages or task assignment. Your team’s external process decides ownership and the next step.

Follow-up is not unrestricted re-contact

Exporting a record does not reset Instagram’s eligible 24-hour conversation window or grant permission for unrelated email marketing. Confirm the person’s permission and use an appropriate channel.

If you need shared agents, deals and tasks on WhatsApp, evaluate the separate WhatsApp CRM. This existing Instagram URL remains a clearly bounded organization guide, not a promise of that product on Instagram.

Frequently asked questions

Does every Instagram DM create a full CRM contact?

No. This guide covers the lead records collected by configured questionnaires. Check completion and captured fields before relying on a record.

Are contacts automatically tagged?

Automatic Instagram contact tagging is not established in the reviewed product. Use the existing lead search and connected-account filter.

Can I export answers?

Yes. The Collected Leads view exports available recorded fields to CSV. Export does not automatically synchronize another CRM.

Can teammates share an Instagram assignment queue?

No released Instagram team-assignment queue is established. WhatsApp CRM has its own shared workflow.

Can we keep messaging after a comment?

A comment can allow an initial private reply, but does not open unrestricted ongoing messaging. Wait for an inbound reply before continuing and respect the eligible 24-hour conversation window.
